Savannah Legacy Gowns gives donated bridal gowns new life as burial gowns for families who are enduring pregnancy & infant loss. This came about from ,my experience as a bereavement doula, seeing the dignity that appropriately fitting clothes brought these babies. Knowing similar organizations existed around the country, but none in our area, Savannah Legacy Gowns was founded in February of 2017.
All of the work in creating these gowns and accompanying items is done by volunteers. We have work days twice a month in Pooler, GA. Volunteers do everything from deconstructing gowns, cutting patterns, ironing, to sewing; all skill levels welcome! To volunteer, please join our Facebook group or e-mail Marissa.
